Professional Biography
Dr. Garcia specializes in Sports Medicine and the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, with an emphasis on post-operative rehabilitation and acute injuries. He received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a rotating internship at Southeastern Medical Center in North Miami Beach, Florida and his residency training at Nova-Southeastern University Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Garcia has obtained the status of a Fellow with the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. He has worked as team physician for St. Edwards High School and performed preseason evaluations for athletes at Sebastian River High School. Previously he worked with the Florida Hurricanes, a local semi-pro football team. He is a volunteer physician for the Indian River County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team. He has had the opportunity to provide medical coverage for a variety of sporting events including: the Walt Disney World Marathon, Mission Bay International Swim Meet-Sundown to Seoul, and the Boca Pointe Annual 10K Championship Race.

Personal Biography
Dr. Garcia, his wife Tamara and young son Garritt are active members of our community and he has been caring for patients in Indian River County for over ten years. When Dr. Garcia asked Garritt what he thought Dad was good at, he looked up at him with a big smile and said, "being a doctor." We agree and welcome him into our practice.
