Dr. Hickman was born in Miami, Florida. He graduated magna cum lauda from the University of Miami with a degree in chemistry. He received his medical degree from the University of Florida, College of Medicine, and was ranked number one in his medical school class. He served his orthopaedic internship and residency at Carolina medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Hickman is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Hickman is an honest and caring physician who does general orthopaedics, but has an interest in shoulder problems, knee problems, as well as childrens’ orthopaedics.

Personal Biography
Dr. Hickman has lived in Vero Beach since finishing his orthopaedic training at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He lives with his wife, Terrell, and his dog, Freddy. He has raised three children in Vero Beach and has put them through the public school system in Vero Beach. They are all presently in college at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Hickman’s favorite hobby is fishing, and he spends a fair amount of his time on the Indian River. He is also interested in biology and the environment.
