EARLY DIAGNOSIS If you know or suspect you have Multiple Sclerosis (MS), early diagnosis and treatment can make all the difference in how the condition progresses. We interact with physical, occupational and behavioral therapists to manage your disease nd the associated symptoms of MS.We will facilitate referrals to affiliated specialists such as urologists or ophthalmologists to ensure that you receive the coordinated care that you require.  A board certified neurologist serving Vero Beach since 1997, Dr. Shafer serves as the Medical Director for the MS Centers of Florida Foundation. Dr. Shafer recognizes the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patient is an underserved segment of care in neurology and is committed to the development of a treatment model that comprehensively cares for the MS patient.
